CoderZ® Virtual
Robot Coding

For P3 - S5 Students

CoderZ® Background

CoderZ® is one of the technology tools that can do the magic for students to learn coding in a gamified and self-directed way. It is an award winning education technology venture from Israel. CoderZ® has won accolades from major education technology organizations, including the Best Coding and Computational Thinking Solution of the prestigious SIIA CODiE Awards. It was also awarded the edtech startup with the greatest growth potential in the 2020 Edventures GBA Fellowship organized by Esperanza.

This program takes students on a journey through virtual CoderZ® destinations where they’ll learn how to program and navigate a virtual robot using Blockly. Lessons include CS, basic math, geometry, project development, and soft skills. Gamified missions break up the lessons into bite-sized chunks to set a comfortable learning pace.

Curriculum : CoderZ® Adventure

In this beginner’s course, students learn the basics of computer science while performing simple math and geometry using loops, sensors, and more. They’ll navigate a virtual robot through exciting adventures and a total of 90+ missions for exploration, discovery and practice!

Learning Aspects:

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of robotics and coding

  • Developing critical thinking to debug programs

  • Exploring how hardware and software interact

  • Developing project design and planning skills and inspiring creativity Developing collaboration skills

Curriculum : Cyber Robotics 101

This program guides students to discover computer science and robotics concepts by programming their own virtual robot through a series of gamified missions. In addition to discovering the nuts and bolts of coding and controlling robots, they’ll practice STEM, computational thinking, problem solving, and soft skills.

Learning Aspects:

  • Writing algorithms and code

  • Understanding algorithm and code

  • Practicing control flow: loops, if/else, and more

  • Exploring navigation: screw and smooth turns

  • Discovering detection: touch, distance, color, gyro

  • Practicing object manipulation: robot’s arm

Curriculum : Cyber Robotics 102

Cyber Robotics 102 continues the gamified ride through the world of computer science and robots - this time around with an extensive focus on variables, robotics-related algorithms, and physics in a changing obstacle environment. Promotes critical thinking, investigation, and problem solving.

Learning Aspects:

  • Extensive use of variables

  • Coding engineering control algorithms

  • Understanding core concepts in physics

  • Putting critical thinking into action for debugging

  • Choosing the most efficient solutions

  • Implementing robotics related algorithm

  • Learning engineering control systems

CoderZ® League

The competition is made for teams. Every team has up to 6 students.
The students will pick a name and a flag design that would represent their team in the competition.

Teamwork makes the dream work! Work with a team of six students.
Build unity and a sense of identity by developing a name and a flag
to represent your core values that will carry you to victory!
